Futures Fair 08
15 May 2008- RIBA London
Thursday 15 May 2008
Futures Fair 08 aims to encourage interaction between a wide cross-section of groups and interests. It matches the skills of architects, designers and construction specialists with the predictions of sociologists, economists, technologists and other thinkers
The future of our towns and cities are increasingly shaped by a variety of socio-economic and environmental factors, which are both local and global in their impact. How we respond locally to these challenges is up to us all. Never has so much seemed to be in play when trying to plot what lies ahead. Futures Fair 08 proposes that architects, those in research and the design and development industries should take ‘futures’ on, both as a strand of thinking, but also as part of how to do business.
Futures Fair 08 is supported by the Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS) through Foresight and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council
