John has spent over 35 years trying to secure integrated transport in conurbations, with experience in both the UK and also Asia. With many years involvement in Singapore, perhaps one of the most ‘planned’ cities in the world, he has seen what can be achieved – and what can’t -under ‘ideal’ conditions. He is currently directing projects in Glasgow and Dublin where the emphasis is on designing for the future, with an eye to the impact of ‘peak oil’, carbon footprints and healthy lifestyles.
