Kees Van Der Sande

Formation Architects

Kees van der Sande graduated from Edinburgh University with first class honors and spent the early part of his career with Terry Farrell and Partners working on the Seoul transport interchange and Edinburgh Marriot Health Club. Kees then moved to Patel Taylor architects working on a variety of award winning landscape, public space, education and community buildings including Royal Victoria Square, Thames Barrier Park, the Centre for Film, TV and Theatre studies, Aberyswyth, and the Peace Park Pavilion in Wigston, Leicestershire. He has also worked in New York with Kohn Pedersen Fox and with Maccormac Jamieson Pritchard in London.

Following a period managing part of the family furniture making business between 1999 and 2003 Kees spent four years as a director of KCA Architects in London, where he was responsible for a large variety of residential, hotel, and mixed use developments. Kees joined Formation in February 2008 as an Associate Director and is currently leading the Park Lane team with Simon Hadler.
